Why buy Quartz

Because quartz is a man made product, the color options are much more robust than you would find with a surface like granite. There are natural looking designs that imitate marble, with a white base and light veining. You can also find the speckled look that imitates beautiful granite countertops. Then, you have your exciting colors, such as neon orange, red, blue, aqua, and even more unique color combinations and patterns. This is a big reason that people opt to buy quartz countertops.

Why buy granite

Granite is a natural stone composed of several large mineral grains which are tightly packed. Because the major components of granite… feldspar and quartz… are harder than steel, granite has become a popular alternative to softer materials (plastic laminate, solid surface, etc.) for kitchen countertops.  Although granite is not indestructible, it has the greatest scratch resistance, heat resistance, longest useful life, resistance to most common chemicals and lowest maintenance of any other material currently used for countertops.

Why buy Marble

There is no stone more unique or beautiful for your countertops than marble. Marble is a natural metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite or dolomite. Marble counters are bright, elegant, add character and are wonderful to cook on, particularly if you are baking. Few counter options can match its beauty and timelessness.  But maintenance and wearability concern often come up in conversations we have with clients about marble. It is not as hardy or maintenance free as some other counters you could get, although going with one of the harder marbles and using a good sealer minimize those issues.
